Meadow Wall Hanging I

Meadow Wall Hanging I
This piece is made by first laying out a background shape in cream coloured wool, and then rolling bits of roving to shape stems, which are placed on top. I then sprinkle some wool scraps I’ve collected (from trimming my wool chips) over the stems, hoping to evoke a natural wildness that is present in fields of flowers. The whole piece is then fused together through the process of wet felting.
Once the piece is ready, I sew it onto an 1/2” oak dowel. The texture of the felted wool really adds a lot of warmth to any room it’s placed in.
The wool portion of this piece measures, 11.5×9.5” and the overall width and height that it requires on the wall is, 13×12”.
This piece is in stock and ready to ship.
