How do I wash my Felted Scarf or Kerchief?

Hand wash using cold water and a clear, wool-friendly soap (like Woolite). Squeeze out the excess water and hang or lay flat to dry. You can gently stretch your scarf/kerchief back into it’s original shape if it’s gotten a little misshapen during the washing process. Don’t put your felted piece into the dryer or it will shrink and become a much smaller, much stiffer scarf.

Can I come see these pieces in person?

Yes. My studio is in my home and I am more then happy to have you come by for a visit. No pressure to buy anything after trying it on or taking a look at it.

Is the felted surface of the framed feltings delicate?

No, the process of wet felting is pretty aggressive, and involves a lot of soap and water. So you can spot clean the wool if necessary. Or run a lint roller over it from time to time. Or just give it a pat. The texture of the felted wool brings a lot of warmth to a space and I didn’t want to lose any of its tactile nature by putting glass over it.

Do you take custom orders?

Yes! I love custom orders. Email me and we can work out the details. :)

I fell in love with a framed felting that’s already sold. Can you make me another one?

The short answer is yes. Each piece is one of a kind, but most often I can replicate a previous design fairly closely. Send me an email and we can figure it out.
